Heaven is Here

I just finished Heaven is Here by Stephanie Nielson. I LOVED this book. I cried every time I picked it up. I decided to take this one slow- though it is so good, I could have flown through it- but I wanted to really think about what she had gone through and what she had to share.

I loved how she described her relationship with her husband. So tender, forgiving and full of love after going through so much heartache. But, most of all, I love how she shared her perspective of motherhood. It's easy to dwell on the clutter, lack of alone time, tantrums and general stickiness of children. But she described motherhood in the way I hope to always view it, a wonderful calling from Heavenly Father. A blessing. It makes me want to go grab Autumn out of her crib and snuggle with her and her special "num" blanket. Maybe I will.

The Book Thief

This book had me in tears.
It had me thinking all day. About life. About my life. About those who suffered from the holocaust, both Jews and Germans.

I am hesitant to recommend this book because of the swear words but the book is so good. It is written by death. Set in the time of the holocaust. It is touching.
If know of a good book, do share. I am always looking for good books.

the Goose Girl

I finished this book just minutes ago and had to share it with you. I loved it! It is about a princess (what girl doesn't love a story about a princess) and love! It is well written and the ending is simply wonderful! Read it, you'll love it!
